Message from our Headteacher

Welcome to Glebe Primary School!

I hope that you find our website interesting and informative. Glebe is a fantastic school and I feel privileged  to be the headteacher.

The school has a fantastic working atmosphere which is testament to both the children and the staff. As Ofsted identified last year, children like coming to Glebe and achieve well.

We have an exciting and creative curriculum that caters for all needs. We strive to challenge the children at every opportunity and create as many varied opportunities as possible for the children to enjoy. Children make good progress at the school and we track each and every pupil carefully to ensure that they are fulfilling their potential. We are well resourced, particularly in terms of ICT.

We are fortunate in having large and beautiful grounds, more frequently seen in rural areas rather London suburbs. This helps us create a calm school where children have suitable space to play in. Children at Glebe get on well with each other and behaviour is good at the school.

We have a very safe school environment and we take the children's safety and well being very seriously. The school site is secure and we ensure that all adults working in school have been suitably vetted.

The school has a special provision for hearing impaired pupils. As well as providing a first class service for these children it ensures that all children at Glebe develop very positive attitudes towards others, regardless of any disadvantage they may have.

Glebe plays a very central part in the local community. We have very close links with St Giles Church in Ickenham as well many local clubs and groups such as the cricket club and horticultural society. We work closely with both the nurseries that feed into our school and the secondary schools that our children move on to.

I hope that this has given you a flavour our fabulous school. If you are thinking about sending your children then please call the school office to arrange a tour as well as checking our school prospectus and most recent Ofsted report.

My best wishes

Nick Alford
