Our recycling scheme in partnership with Terracycle will be coming to an end on Monday 16th June in order to be fully wound up by the end of the school year. Since 2019, over 600kg of waste has been collected and sent off to be recycled.

Recently, several Terracycle collection schemes have ended; the remaining schemes simply do not generate enough income to make the collection, sorting and storage worthwhile anymore. Nearly everything we collect for Terracycle can now be recycled via other means; this was not an option when the Terracycle scheme first started. A guide to alternative ways to recycle has been included with the newsletter this week.

Our collection of printer cartridges, toners, mobile phones and tablets will continue for now, as will the collection of used stamps for the British Hedgehog Preservation Society.

The SchoolCycled bottle top recycling scheme is also continuing. This will allow us to receive free recycled outdoor furniture and equipment.

Thank you for your continued support with all the recycling fundraising.
