Coming Up:

Lots of Socks Day - Thursday 21st March is World Down Syndrome Day and one way to create awareness in schools is for children to wear odd coloured socks to school. This is part of a campaign to highlight Down's Syndrome Awareness Day and create awareness in schools.  Down's syndrome occurs when babies develop an extra copy of chromosome 21. Chromosomes look like socks and come in pairs so mismatched socks are worn to highlight that having Down's Syndrome is as normal as having an odd sock in your drawer. Remember the more brightly coloured or mismatched the better! You can find more information on World Down Syndrome Day at  http://www.downs-syndrome.org.uk or http://www.sparkles.org.uk

Thank you in anticipation of your support.
