I want to say a personal thank you to you all for your support and encouragement over the year. I have been overwhelmed with the positivity and friendliness I have received every day whilst standing outside in my ‘spot’ greeting you all and saying goodbye at the end of the day. It has been an amazing year, all in all, and more than I could have hoped for in terms of my vision for where I wanted the school to be after my first year as Head – namely a very successful Ofsted inspection and excellent SATs results. I truly could not have done it without the unrelenting support of everyone connected to Glebe – staff, Governors, pupils and parents. Here’s to an even better year next year!
Goodbye: The end of the school year is always bittersweet as we have to say goodbye to staff and children who are moving on. We said goodbye to our Year 6 pupils this morning and they each received a Glebe Leavers Book and a CD of photographs. Mr Buckingham, our chair of Governors, was on hand to distribute special awards for pupils who have shown significant progress or aptitude in a specific area during their time at Glebe. I am sure you will join me in wishing the Year 6 Class of 2018 lots of luck for the future.
Philosopher’s Corner: Is it possible to be too excited (for the end of the school year)?!
So there is only one thing left to say: Dear Parents, TAG! You're it! Love The Teachers x
