This year, one of our parents showed us the CLIPPA Poetry recital Competition and suggested that we enter. Each Key stage had an award-winning collection of poetry that they could choose from.

Years 5 & 6 looked at On The Move by Michael Rosen

Years 2 ,3 & 4 looked at Bright Bursts of Colour by Matt Goodfellow

EYFS & KS1 looked at Big Green Crocodile Rhymes to Say & Play by Jane Newberry.

Each class or year group, chose a poem and learned it off by heart. The teachers then recorded the children performing the poems and we entered them to this nationwide competition.

We are so proud and pleased to announce that out of all the entries that were sent in, our reception entry was given the 4* award, which means they came  in second place.  CLIPPA will be sending the children all sorts of goodies to celebrate!
